Vargus has been offering world-class high-quality cutting, grooving and deburring tools for the metals and plastics industries in the Indian market for more than 15 years now. The Israel-based company is the world leader in threading technologies.

The company demonstrated its new product innovations in thread turning and new grades for the first time in India at IMTEX 2019.

The company displayed new and unique product, TMDR, which is a solid carbide tool and does three operations in one. “It drills, threads and chamfers as it exits the thread. It also had HCN, another very unique tool which can do deep threading three times the diameter of the thread and that was also being exhibited at the booth. In addition to that its signature Vargus GENius has been made available as an app for downloading. It’s not only a tool selector but also generates the CNC programme required for thread turning and for thread milling which the company says is a great service and of assistance to anybody who needs to do the application of threading on their CNC machines,” says Wolfe. It also had the Groovex line for small parts machining and there again it had new products to display. Wolfe said that all the products introduced this year has a Coolant Thru for high pressure for up to 100 bar and it has introduced a whole line of capital adaptors, capital style adaptors for all of its lines of small part machining tooling.

Makhijha said that Vargus in India has been growing at a better pace than the industry. The Indian market is open to new technologies and ideas and the penetration here is quite short as compared to more conservative markets like Europe.
