Heidenhain

Heidenhain displayed its new controllers which are TNC 640 and 620 which are equipped with plenty of new features. They are more sought after by the die & mould industry and high precision machining. The TNC 640 is available in the conventional version with screen and keyboard as well as with touch screen and keyboard. Whether zooming with two fi ngers, rotating or moving, you operate the TNC 640 quickly and easily by fingertip. One can programme conventional milling and drilling operations, and with the TNC 640 also turning operations. The TNC 640 provides optimum support with practical prompts, questions and expressive graphical aids—for turning operations, too.

“One major difference where Indian machine tool manufacturers are competing with international ones is in the usage of components which impart accuracy to the component being machined. So customers are not only looking at aesthetics but also the component and unless that is accurate and within specifications, it doesn’t make sense,” says Tripathi.

The TNC 620 is compact and easy to read. It has a versatile contouring control for up to five controlled axes. Thanks to its flexible operating concept—workshop-oriented programmability with Heidenhain conversational programming or offline programming—and its scope of features, it is especially suited for use on universal milling, drilling and boring machines for the following: Series and single-part production, toolmaking machine building, R&D, prototypes and pilot plants, repair departments, and training and education facilities. The company imports all its products into India from Germany.
