Tungaloy India launched many new products this time, mainly for high feed milling. The company has come up with a small Diameter 8 indexable endmill that is unprecedented in the market and comes with two pockets. “Besides that, we have launched a new 880 shoulder milling cutter, and indexable gun drills. Our pride is  we have come with a complete range of thread milling tools that are unique to us,” says Shah.

The CBN has gone one step further and it now comes with a chip breaker over a CBN which is the first of its kind. The TungForce range of products for accelerated machining was also on display at IMTEX 2019. The company displayed many new grades and geometries for increased productivity and longer tool life for difficult-to-cut materials.

Last six months to one year has been one of the best years for cutting tools. “We grew by 33% after an excellent 2017. More Indian companies have been investing in machines, specially the automotive sector, two-wheeler segments, commercial vehicles,  and aerospace.

Tungaloy India showcased the new AH8000 grade for turning heat resistant materials and AH3000 series grade of milling with the Nano multilayer PVD, which delivers superior coating adhesion and improved wear resistance at higher cutting parameters besides the T9200 series turning inserts for steel machining, and an outer titanium ceramic coating, which helps in improving surface hardness. Shah says Tungslot’s six cutting-edge insert for slotting as thin a width of 4mm, gives great advantage to customer for both accelerated machining and reducing the cost per component.
