Zavenir Daubert introduced Chemistry 4.0 at IMTEX 2019. In keeping with the Industry 4.0 theme of the trade fair, Chemistry 4.0 covers chemical process optimisation through Value Analysis/Value Engineering and automated management of all the chemicals that are interlinked in any manufacturing process right from cutting, cleaning, protecting to packaging. “We have made the process control of these chemicals using cloud-based services as the first stepping stone towards Chemistry 4.0 in India. Next stage is to introduce the Cyber-Physical Systems of sensing, testing and dosing devices. Many of our customers in Europe have already started to take advantage of Chemistry 4.0” says Bains.
At IMTEX, the company showcased new products and technologies that it’s bringing in, besides other products that make a difference. In cutting oils, it showcased how a micro emulsion is different from a conventional semi-synthetic (macro) emulsion and the benefits it offers to the tool life and low carryover losses resulting in low consumption and higher productivity. “We are showing this through Reichert Test and the results are here on display. We are also showcasing our capabilities in Advanced Cleaners that help in achieving desired Millipore value in ambient temperature without any foaming troubles and Contact Corrosion Inhibitor (CCI) & Thin Film Technology based rust preventive oils. Also, on display is the DAUBERT VCI packaging which is globally recommended and approved by US military and international OEMs,” he adds.
‘Global Technologies Manufactured in India’ – they have R&D centres in Germany & USA with manufacturing facilities here. There is a focus on the DAUBERT 360 Program that has been helping Indian customers get real time global support & consultancy. Many of their customers have been benefited in improving their exports to various parts of the world. This program includes technical study, corrosion preventive packaging designing, validations in lab/field and support at receiving location in India or Internationally. “By focusing on customer’s customer, we have been able to reduce rejections, speed up response times, provide insights & assist in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes at the international location” Bains concluded.
