In India, we have set up a separate department that will explain to customers the benefits of Industry 4.0 and the solutions we can offer along with all the machines, ways to integrate it into the system, and get updates from the machines, maintenance, production and any data that is required,” he says.
The company works closely with tool manufacturers for its turnkey solutions and since no machine can perform without good cutting tools, it also works with cutting tool manufacturers. Trials and component cutting at our technology centre in Pune are conducted and that helps discern the best tools to offer customers to achieve higher productivity and least minimum cycle times.
Aerospace industry needs 5-axis machines, multi tasking machines and Mazak is a pioneer. “We have products that have been launched only because our customers have asked us to produce them which are mainly used in aerospace for engine casing, structural components. It has a technology centre in Japan where it conducts component cutting trials, offering turnkey solutions for aerospace.
Training is a an important part and the team at Yamazaki Mazak take it seriously.
