Chiron Group
Chiron has been manufacturing since the 1950s. Its group companies include Chiron (since 1929), and Stama, which is nearly 80 years old. Ghashi says that Chiron is one of the top 10 machine tool manufactures in Europe. The company has significant number of installations in India too.
The company displayed the latest machine from Feinbau, which comes equipped with the latest software that adheres to Industry 4.0. “We have the data line and process line and customers can use them depending on the application whether it’s service or production or merely collecting data to analyse. All of these are on these machines,” says Ghashi.
Chiron Group in India imports the machines from its parent company in Germany.
“Most of our machines are turnkey machines, which means that we not only provide the basic machines, but solutions too. The machines offer a complete package for manufacturing. In India, we are responsible for the installation and service support,” he adds.
In terms of new products, the company offers them to customers after discussions. Based on the products they manufacture, and considering the volumes, Chiron decides the machine that needs to be suggested to the customer and accordingly the solutions are fitted in. Chiron Group offers a variety of trainings. Ghashi says with a hint of pride that the German company has an entire school dedicated to training in Germany. Training is offered based on needs, which includes programming, maintenance and the latter is divided into electronics, mechanical or hydraulics.
