Most of the products that BFW showcased were new launches as has been the company’s strength last 4-5 years. Raghavan says, “All the products are developed as a platform and the philosophy is to have lean, mean and green products. The major attractions this year would be the 5-axis HMC on our ORION platform.” The smallest and the fastest machine is the Mac which comes with a pallet changer, and without one as an option, and our IoT which is based on Iris platform are some of the new machines.”
The company made two announcements at IMTEX 2019. It announced its partnership with WIN Automation Solutions to jointly offer customers modular and scalable factory automation solutions with most comprehensive range of offerings in milling, turning and special purpose machines. These solutions consist of smart machines, intelligent material handling/automation systems synchronising the material flow to manufacturing/assembly needs, providing data analytics to maximize OEE, productivity, quality, inventories, etc.
In a second announcement, in an endeavour to empower the MSME segment, BFW in association with Universal Robots, pioneers and leaders of Collaborative Robots (Cobots), are aiming to penetrate the sector with new and affordable automation solutions. BFW and UR aims to redefine the production processes by deploying the robotic arms through modular, flexible and user-friendly integration solution platform – Arjun. User-friendly and light industrial robotic arms will impact productivity, quality and working conditions in MSME segment as it will automate and streamline repetitive industrial processes efficiently thus empowering the shop floor for higher value creative activities.
