The Indian market is important for us, not only because it’s emerging but it comes with its own challenges of price. In terms of technology, Indians are ready to adopt new and emerging technologies and we have had a good run here last 3-4 years, says Mathew. Of course, the company has expanded its team in India to support the machines and has set up an office in Bangalore, while putting together a team who also do software development as per requirements for the parent company based out of Australia.

At IMTEX 2019, the company displayed its latest machine, AR300 SCARA, which is an ANCA manufactured robot. It’s one of the low end machines that the company is selling. Besides this, it displayed the MX7, which is an high end machine. The MX7 Linear is a powerful, versatile CNC tool grinder designed for production grinding. It is built to meet the demands of high output, high precision manufacturing. The powerful 38kW (51HP) permanent magnet spindle provides high torque at lower RPM which is ideal for carbide grinding and a wide range of other applications.

Both the machines have the laser system which is the latest in process measurement.

Speaking about markets, Mathew said that the decline in the automobile industry throughout Europe, USA and China (to some extent) is expected to have a cascading effect in India what with electric cars expected to take over. “It is for this reason that we decided to diversify and are moving into newer sectors such as power generation, aerospace, die  & mould, as we see them as fast growing. The new software that we have developed will target these sectors. Besides this, we also have an Industry 4.0 solution. With lack of labour availability in Korea, Germany and France, more companies are looking for automation, thus enabling them to manage unmanned factories without man power,” he adds. In terms of Additive Manufacturing, the industry will see a sizeable growth, but currently it’s slow.

Other than this, the company is investing on people and technology improvements. It’s no surprise that most employees at ANCA have been long-serving and promotions happen internally.
