Ross Process Equipment – Lokendra Singh, MD
Ross is dependent on people. The pandemic changed this perception. Interaction with team members was limited to virtual mediums. The HR and managers addressed all management communication to each member.
Building trust helped the leadership team in keeping the morale high. When they started work, they had no issues in resetting their operations: the steps they took for maintaining communications on numerous platforms paid off.
The team at Ross worked to overcome unprecedented challenges in a short time. The SOPs recommended were strictly followed. They saw productivity improve when they opened up. The concern for everyone’s health and safety was what they consistently conveyed during the lockdown. When they started operations, they embraced the new normal, sticking to the guidelines provided by the authorities meticulously. These measures included: Rveryday sanitization of entire premises; thermal checking of employees; oxygen testing of employees by pulse oximeter; awareness training programs; providing hand sanitizer stations at various places at the plant and the office; and distribution of face masks to employees.
The idea had been imbibed in everyone that the target is to live, and they will not cut any jobs. It is a cause and effect situation we live in.
