Innovations to support continuous improvements is the only way for sustainable business & the Hyderabad site is the first in South Asia known for tellar performance like safety, sustainability, operational excellence, and cost excellence. Another milestone is in the area of hazardous waste reduction where the Hyderabad site is globally least waste generation paints site by reducing 73% waste. The same approach was adopted at our Vietnam operations and saw reduction by 91% & hazardous waste generation by 37% in just two months.

At Hyderabad, women were enrolled for the first time in paints Industry like filling machines. It is working on human error reduction by bringing in automation along with digital solutions (visual factory) as well as focus on existing processes to make people more capable. Process Controls through end-to-end process mapping and adequate solutions to bridge the performance gap is also being adopted. There are few examples which motivates us to continue to be a role model in manufacturing:
• Book vs Physical Stock Cycle time improvement – 3 Days (2018) to 3 Hours (2019)
• Quality Improvement – Non confirming batches – 97% reduction in 2019 vs 2017-18
• Energy Saving – 52% in 2019 as against 2017-18
• Annual cost savings – 202% against corporate target in 2019
