One key feature of the fine boring tool from LMT Tools is its cutting element automatically adjusts to micrometer accuracy using electronic components.Hence, the edges can be set digitally. So, they are absolutely precise and–if so desired–any wear arising can be compensated fully automatically. Besides, we have developed smart rolling system for manufacturing external threads. EVOline tangential rolling heads feature a sensor for force measurement. In each rolling cycle, current force values are compared with a standard value and saved in the rolling head electronics. LMT Tools is also exploring new paths in terms of commissioning, service & maintenance. Here too, smart features  will be applied.

Tools will provide feedback as soon as the next maintenance date approaches–initially in accordance with a programmed interval based on empirical values, and later dependent on actual requirements.
