Welspun One Logistics Parks (WOLP) has inducted three independent members to its board of directors and investment committee in order to augment its corporate governance framework. The firm is a developer of warehousing and industrial parks and an integrated fund and development management platform.
The company has appointed Mr. Sushil Rathi, former COO of Mahindra Logistics and Mr. Anup Shah, Managing Partner of Anup Shah Law Firm to its Board of Directors and Investment Committee and Mr. Yash Gupta, former Managing Director of Hines India to its Investment Committee.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Sushil Rathi stated that he was delighted to accept the invitation to join the Board of Directors and Investment Committee at Welspun One. As the Company charts a new course in India’s exciting warehousing sector, he plans to leverage his industry expertise to contribute to assessing the Company’s future investments as well as providing strategic guidance on business growth, he added.
Mr. Anup Shah opined that Welspun One’s steps towards elevating its corporate governance are commendable and underscore the Welspun Groups’ unwavering commitment to accountability, professionalism, and unparalleled transparency. Mr. Yash Gupta noted that Welspun One already follows a sophisticated framework to evaluate potential investments which systematically identifies business and technical feasibility along with potential risk considerations. He further stated that he plans to add to this further by way of critical review and also by bringing global best practices assimilated through his years of experience with a leading international investor, manager and developer.
