Vedanta Aluminium celebrates World Day of Safety & Health at Work with launch of Fire Safety Park

Undertakes initiatives to sensitise local communities and bolster employee safety.

Vedanta Aluminium has inaugurated a Fire Safety Training Park at its plant in Jharsuguda. The park will help the company’s industrial and fire safety teams to facilitate live, practical safety demonstrations of fire hazards, their prevention and mitigation, to employees and business partners at the plant. 

Rahul Sharma, CEO, Vedanta Limited – Aluminium Business, emphasised the company’s commitment to safety and health in the workplace. According to Sharma, safety and health are top priorities for Vedanta Aluminium and non-negotiable parameters for operational excellence. The company employs best-in-class safety technologies and behaviour-based safety initiatives applicable to all employees to ensure a safety-first culture. Sharma also highlighted the importance of innovations such as the Fire Safety Park in promoting awareness of safety practices and making them accessible to more people.

Vedanta Aluminium carried out a week-long series of initiatives at its operations in Jharsuguda, aimed at demonstrating safety practices to its employees and enhancing community preparedness.
