thyssenkrupp in India uses advanced tech for superior CRGO, powering transition

By providing high efficiency powercore to industrial applications and the power transmission network, thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel directly contributes to energy savings and CO2 reduction

Thyssenkrupp boosts CRGO production in India for green energy transition. With the capacity to produce 50,000 tonnes of superior grades of CRGO, the company uses powercore® technology to create efficient grain-oriented electrical steel, an essential component for distribution and power transformers. This helps to lower greenhouse gas emissions, while offering new and creative technology for smaller, high-performance transformers and lower noise emissions in urban areas.

By providing high-efficiency powercore to industrial applications and the power transmission network, thyssenkrupp directly contributes to energy savings, making it an industry leader in sustainable steel production.

The launch of CRGO has been appreciated by local OEMs and processors who were previously dependent on imports, contributing to India’s Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Mission. The company has exported high-grade CRGO steel to over 60 customers in 22 countries across six continents.

Thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel India will showcase their products at Elecrama in New Delhi from February 18th to 22nd, 2023.
