TCI Group and IIM Bangalore launch a sustainable supply chain lab. It aims to be a centre of excellence for sustainable supply chain practices, advocacy, and dissemination. The lab was inaugurated by Dr Devi Shetty, Chairman and ED of Narayana Health, and Chairperson, Board of Governors, IIM Bangalore, along with the Chairman of TCI Group, DP Agarwal.
During the launch, Vineet Agarwal, Managing Director – TCI Group, introduced the beta version of a GHG Measurement Tool named TEMT. It covers all modes of transportation and has a multi-lingual interface, making it easily accessible to India’s logistics and supply chain ecosystem.
Vineet Agarwal, MD – TCI, stated that the collaboration with IIM Bangalore is another addition to their initiatives that facilitate a culture of collaborative growth and thought leadership. The lab will build a community of solvers by combining research with industry expertise.
According to Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore, the idea behind the TCI-IIMB lab is to create sustainable solutions for organisations and supply chains that will lead to large-scale adoption and subsequent benefits. The lab aims to advance and disseminate sustainable supply chain management knowledge, conduct research to identify and replicate good practices for sustainable supply chains, and cooperate and coordinate with other organizations with similar aims and objectives within and outside the country.
The TCI-IIMB Supply Chain Sustainability Lab aims to be a hub for sustainable supply chain practices and research that will benefit the industry and the environment.
