Tanla Platforms Limited, a leading Indian digital interactions company, has launched Wisely ATP, a one-stop solution to combat SMS phishing comprehensively. The solution, launched at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, is aimed at addressing the growing global challenge of phishing, with online scams becoming the most common form of crime worldwide.
Wisely ATP is a proprietary platform that can process over one trillion transactions annually in real-time with an accuracy of over 99%. Tanla’s analysis suggests that over five billion SMS phishing attempts are made in India annually, and over six million citizens are scammed annually with an estimated loss of nearly INR15,000 crores.
The three modules of Wisely ATP are identification, prevention, and elimination of root cause. The first module comprehensively detects phishing messages in real-time. The second module ensures that messages identified as phishing are dropped from being delivered, and also proactively sends warning alerts to users and generates actionable insights for the entire ecosystem.
The third module provides evidence to all ecosystem stakeholders, enabling them to eliminate the root cause of SMS phishing. Tanla has been providing blockchain-based DLT solutions to curb spam in India, and TRAI has conducted a regulatory sandbox that validated the effectiveness of Wisely ATP.
