ŠKODA AUTO Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has started accepting applications for the 11th batch of its Mechatronics program. The Mechatronics 2022 program aims at providing new age skillsets to high school graduates and workers displaced from low-skilled jobs.This intensive three and a half year program equips participants with new-age skills and enables them to become future-ready in the auto sector.
The program is conducted by SAVWIPL in partnership with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce for awarding the DIHK certificate on successful completion of the course and the National Council for Vocational Training to conduct the All India Trade Test.
Talking about the program, Piyush Arora, Managing Director, SAVWIPL said, “Our Mechatronics program is in line with the Skill India initiative introduced by the Government of India to empower the youth of our country. The industry is witnessing disruptions like never before, and the auto industry needs to play a vital role in providing opportunities to the automotive workforce and aspiring professionals to upgrade themselves with advanced skill-sets,”
SAVWIPL follows a unique training methodology with the use of advanced technology available within the automobile Industry. The program enhances the skills of apprentices in mechatronics engineering which includes domains like Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Information Technology. The apprentices get on-the-job work experience at SAVWIPL to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in areas like Production, Maintenance, Planning, Quality Assurance, and Research & Development. Additionally, there are classroom sessions in specialised trade schools including Project assignments. The candidates will spend 70 percent of their time in the workplace under the supervision of SAVWIPL certified trainers, and 30 percent in the classroom.
