Tata Communications and Oasis Smart SIM have announced that SanCloud will be powered by CloudSIMTM, a cloud-based embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM). This will allow SanCloud devices to be remotely controlled and monitored for operational performance in various industrial sectors. CloudSIMTM technology reduces costs and simplifies designing by delivering device integrity and cloud provisioning on the cloud, changing the traditional way of delivering on-demand connectivity that typically required additional SIMs, eSIMs, or iSIMs on the hardware platform, adding costs and complexities.
Delivered through Tata Communications MOVE™ platform, CloudSIMTM provides on-demand cellular connectivity, more securely and affordably than before. SanCloud devices will be integrated with Tata Communications MOVETM and CloudSIMTM services, offering flexibility to dynamically change the subscription model in IoT devices without having to send an engineer to site to swap a SIM.
CloudSIMTM complements existing permanent connectivity by enabling on-demand connectivity anytime, anywhere, simplifying IoT and providing a solution allowing deployments to scale. CloudSIMTM is a game-changer in the industry, offering a new approach to empower IoT device and equipment manufacturers. Demonstrations of this new capability will be shown at the Mobile World Congress 2023 with Tata Communications.
