Kabra Extrusiontechnik announced that its board has approved the plan to set up a new manufacturing plant in North India to manufacture new-age Lithium-ion battery packs and other ancillary products through its wholly-owned subsidiary.
The proposed new facility will be a state-of-the-art, highly automated facility, having an annual capacity of 0.75 Gwh. The announcement is part of the company’s region-focused approach and a strong emphasis on sustainability.

This is a significant step forward for Battrixx and a testament to our commitment to driving the growth of the electric vehicle industry in India.”
With the new proposed facility, Battrixx intends to acquire a larger market share in the e-mobility segment in North India. The new facility will strengthen and serve new customers in the electric 2-wheeler, 3-wheeler and light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment.
The proposed facility is expected to be fully operational by Q3 of the financial year 2024.
