JSW signs an agreement to construct and redevelop St. Elizabeth Hospital’s B wing. St. Elizabeth is one of Mumbai’s oldest multi-speciality healthcare facility.
The Tripartite Agreement was signed and executed between the JSW Foundation, St. Joseph’s Education & Medical Relief Society and The Bombay Provincial Society of the Daughters of the Cross. According to this Agreement, JSW Foundation will construct and redevelop the city-based hospital’s B wing into a state-of-the-art medical centre with the latest infrastructure and amenities.
St. Elizabeth’s journey from a nursing home in 1922 to St. Elizabeth’s multi-speciality healthcare hospital now takes another step towards elevating the care it provides by constructing a modernised medical centre covering close to 100,000 square feet flanked across seven floors and 2 Basements. It is expected to be completed by 2026 and will be known as St. Elizabeth’s Hospital’s JSW Medical Centre. St. Joseph’s Education and Medical Relief Society operates and administers the hospital on a day-to-day basis.
Sangita Jindal, Chairperson of JSW Foundation, said, “The redevelopment of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital’s B wing is a strategic collaboration for JSW Foundation. The Foundation already runs two hospitals in Karnataka (Ballari) and Maharashtra (Dolvi). St. Elizabeth’s Hospital is one of Mumbai’s oldest healthcare facilities. The redevelopment of the Hospital’s B wing into a modern medical centre with the latest infrastructure and amenities will enable this hospital to provide its patients with access to a desirable ambience for healing and wholeness,”
