Jidoka Technologies emerges winner of Maruti Suzuki MAIL Program Cohort 7

Jidoka’s solutions use technologies such as deep learning algorithms, advanced image augmentation techniques, and edge computing for high-speed decision-making on complex problems. 

Jidoka Technologies, a Chennai-based start-up working in the field of automated cognitive inspection for the manufacturing industry, has been recognised as one of the winners of Cohort 7 of the Maruti Suzuki’s MAIL (Mobility and Automobile Innovation Lab) Program for startups. 

The program, driven by Maruti Suzuki and powered by GHV Accelerator, is aimed at democratising technology-based innovation and discovering innovative, and cutting-edge digital solutions in the mobility and automobile space.

The MAIL Program, initiated in 2019, leverages technology-based innovations to transform innovative ideas into practical and disruptive solutions. Over the years, MAIL has engaged with 42 startups across 7 cohorts; has effectively enabled 22 POCs and 10 startups have been onboarded as business partners.

Speaking about the achievement, Sekar Udayamurthy, CEO and Co-founder, of Jidoka Technologies, expressed his gratitude to Maruti Suzuki for choosing the company as one of the winners of Cohort 7 of the MAIL Program. He further added that Jidoka Technologies has started working with India’s largest OEM in addition to working with component manufacturers and assemblers. The organisation is looking forward to an ongoing engagement and going-to-market together to deliver customised solutions and create maximum value for customers.

Jidoka’s solutions use technologies such as deep learning algorithms, advanced image augmentation techniques, and edge computing for high-speed decision-making on complex problems. 

The solutions deliver complete automation of visual inspection as they automate the process of visual quality while increasing consistency and accuracy at high speed. Additionally, they digitise the inspection process and deliver immense benefits to the manufacturers. Jidoka’s software also improves the defect detection rate by 10% to 15% and brings down the false positives by as much as 30% to 40%.

Maruti Suzuki MAIL program is a common platform for startups helping them evaluate their potential in the startup ecosystem and providing them with the necessary support and guidance to facilitate their growth.
