HÜBNER invests €11M in Bengaluru plant

The latest facility will focus on the rail division and will manufacture gangway systems.

HÜBNER Group has invested 11 million euros to establish a new facility in Bengaluru to manufacture gangway systems. Spread over 9,000 sq.ft, the facility has an annual capacity to produce 5,000 gangway systems. The company aims to focus on proximity to customers in India and the Asia-Pacific region to ensure timely delivery of products.

The MD of HÜBNER Group, Kai Mentel, said that India has great manufacturing potential for mobility markets, and the latest facility will focus on the rail division. The group intends to expand its portfolio beyond rail systems and is flexible enough to shift more divisions based on customer needs. Currently, the Bengaluru factory employs 130 people, and the company plans to increase this number to 175 by the end of 2023.
