EPIC signs a contract worth SAR 490 million with Saline Water Conversion Corporation

The contract signed brings the total value from SWCC to nearly SAR 1 billion for the next 12 months

Welspun Corp Ltd. (WCL) further fortifies its international business through its associate company – East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (EPIC) – in Saudi Arabia. EPIC has signed a contract with Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) valued at SAR 490 million. The project, spanning 12 months, will entail the delivery of steel pipes for water transmission managed by SWCC.

This follows the receipt of a SAR 497 million contract in March 2022, for a project of a similar nature, also by SWCC. And the project is in line with the aim of the Saudi Arabia Government to expand the country’s water pipeline infrastructure through investment from the private sector.

Welspun Corp’s line pipe capabilities encompass HFW (High-Frequency Welded), ERW (Electric Resistance Welded), HSAW (Horizontal Submerged Arc Welded), and LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded). The company also manufactures BIS Certified Steel Billets, Direct Reduced Iron, Stainless & Alloy Steel, and Stainless-Steel Tubes & Pipes. They are also foraying into the DI Pipes segment to cater to growing water infrastructure requirements.
