India continues to be one of the most important markets for Dormer Pramet, with a sharp economic recovery following the pandemic, the growth rate of Indian Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and especially its manufacturing sector, is expected to be strong.
Following the acquisition of Miranda Tools at the end of 2020, Dormer Pramet aims to take advantage of improving, favourable conditions, coupled with an intent to grow its market share quickly across India.
To support this, the global manufacturer has established a robust, lean and agile sales organisation, effective from 1 January 2022. This will allow it to meet customer needs and serve them in the best possible way.
The change will see the sales teams from Miranda and Dormer Pramet come together into a new single organisation, led by sales manager Sharad Kulkarni, representing one strong and unified group across India.
This enables Dormer Pramet to strengthen its position as a supplier of traditional MRO business and support greater opportunity for customers to access all its product brands in India, including Dormer, Pramet and Miranda cutting tools.
Sharad Kulkarni, sales manager at Dormer Pramet India, said: “This is an important development since the acquisition of Miranda Tools was completed at the end of 2020. It means all our sales teams will be integrated into the same organisation, working together to deliver our product brands to various customers across India.”
He further said, “Regardless of whether you buy Miranda, Dormer or Pramet tooling items, you will be able to access all three from the same team in your local area. We are committed to making it as easy as possible for customers to access high-quality cutting tools, which support various production environments.”
