Danfoss Industries Pvt Ltd., an industry leader in climate & energy tech solutions in association with CII- Godrej Green Building Council (GBC), launched a report on “Decarbonization of Indian Industrial Sector” at the recent Energy Efficiency Summit & Awards 2022, held at India Habitat Center, New Delhi.
The report was unveiled by H. E. Freddy Svane, Ambassador of Denmark to India, Ravichandran Purushothaman, Chairman – CII National Energy Efficiency Council & President – Danfoss India, Ashok Kumar, Dy. Director General- Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), R.K.Rai, Secretary- BEE in the presence of K. S. Venkatagiri, Exec. Director, CII- GBC and other dignitaries.
This report examines how the Indian industrial ecosystem currently operates concerning carbon emissions and offers key insights on how to reduce them, paying special attention to key industries such as Indian steel, paper, cement, textile, and chemicals. By exploring a BAU and Rapid Action scenario, the report recommends decarbonization pathways that can help accelerate the rapid reduction of emissions in these sectors, thereby contributing to India’s Climate Action goals.

The new Danfoss Turbocor TGS Series compressor can be used with ultra-low GWP (Global warming potential) refrigerants. At the exhibition, which happened along the sidelines of the Summit, Danfoss showcased a broad range of its energy-efficient solutions like Drives, Compressors, PHE’s, Industrial Refrigeration Solutions, Sensing Solutions etc. to power green transformation in HVACR industry.
