Benteler Automotive India sets up sustainable manufacturing plant in Horizon Industrial Park

Commits to green energy with rooftop solar panels and employment to 300 personnel at the Chakan manufacturing facility

Benteler Automotive, a company in the field of automotive technology, steel and tube production and engineering, have started operations at a brand new, 150,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility in Horizon Industrial Park-Chakan II.  

The Benteler plant was inaugurated by Ralf Goettel, CEO Benteler Group, and Emerson Galina, COO Benteler Automotive, in the presence of Mukund Gangane, Managing Director at Benteler Automotive India, and Rahul Pandit, CEO, Horizon Industrial Parks.  

Mukund Gangane, Managing Director at Benteler Automotive India Pvt Ltd. Said, “The shifting of equipment to the new location from our existing plant was done in less than 90 days. Thanks to our colleagues in Germany and China for their support and guidance during the relocation. A truly remarkable technical achievement and proof of the excellent international teamwork at Benteler. With this new location, Benteler is set to become one of the largest rear axle manufacturers in the country.” 

With the new plant, Benteler Automotive India has reaffirmed their commitment to green power by opting rooftop solar panels, which have been installed in record time by Horizon. The entire building has also been developed using sustainable construction materials and designed with energy and water efficient systems.
