AtumVader passes the ARAI certification

Scheduled to hit the roads this year.

Atumobile, a Hyderabad-based indigenous Make in India sustainable electric vehicle manufacturing start-up, announced its latest electric bike, the AtumVader, has passed the ARAI certification and will soon hit the roads this year. The new cafe racer model has a 2.4 kWh battery pack, a tougher tubular chassis, an LED indicator, and an LED tail lamp.

The AtumVader electric bikes are manufactured in the company’s net-zero manufacturing facility in Patancheru, Telangana, which recently increased its production capacity from 25,000 units per annum to a maximum of 3,00,000 units. This facility spans an area of 20,000 sq. ft. total.

Some features of the AtumVader electric bike are its hub motor with a 2.4kWh battery pack that allows the bike to go up to 100 km on a single charge, its 65 Kmph speed and the fact that it’s gearless, i.e., it has no clutch and does not require a leg brake. A rider can use their hands to accelerate. Another feature is that 90% of AtumVader is made from indigenously sourced components. The brand positions this product as “the answer to automatic transmission in motorbikes”.
