Ather is up with 3rd Experience Centre in Bengaluru, 6th in Karnataka

Experience Centre Ather Space to meet surging demand in the state for Ather 450X and 450 Plus.

To meet the strong consumer demand in Bengaluru, Ather Energy, India’s leading electric scooter manufacturer, today inaugurated its newest retail outlet – Ather Space at Rajajinagar, in association with BIA Ventures. The new experience centre will be the brand’s third retail outlet in the city, after launching its first two in Indiranagar and J.P Nagar. The Ather 450X, one of India’s quickest and smartest scooters, alongside the Ather 450 Plus will be retailed at this Ather Space.

Ather Energy has been receiving a phenomenal response and has witnessed a significant surge in demand for its scooters from across Bengaluru. With the opening of the new experience centre, customers from West Bengaluru can now purchase and test-ride the Ather 450X from a convenient location in Rajajinagar.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravneet Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, “We debuted in Bengaluru in 2018 and the love and appreciation we have received from the city has been very motivating. Karnataka is one of the largest markets for Ather Energy, with a high rate of EV adoption, and encouraging acceptance for premium electric two-wheelers. Apart from Bengaluru, we have our presence in Hubli, Mysore, and Belgaum; and are looking at other markets like Mangalore, Udupi in Karnataka. The number of test rides and bookings has surged significantly in the city driving us to open our third store.”

The Ather Space will provide a unique ownership experience to customers along with complete service and support for the owners. It will offer customers an opportunity to learn about every aspect of the vehicle and provide a complete overview through a stripped-bare unit on display. Customers can book test ride slots on the company’s website before visiting the experience centre to experience riding a connected and intelligent scooter. The Ather 450X, alongside the Ather 450 Plus, will be available to test ride and purchase at the new retail outlet.  The company has existing retail stores across Karnataka – Bengaluru (2), Mysore, Hubli, and Belgaum, and is ready to open its 6th experience centre.

“We from BIA Ventures Pvt Ltd are delighted to partner with Ather Energy as an exclusive retailer to drive EV adoption in Namma Bengaluru. Ather Energy has built a sustainable, high-quality, and well- performing electric vehicle from scratch, along with the supporting charging infrastructure. We have been receiving great response from the customers and have already clocked 1500+ deliveries in our JP Nagar Experience centre. Also, Ather Energy has bestowed us with an award for the fastest 1000 deliveries among their retail partners. “said Nivedita, Managing Director, BIA Ventures.

Ather Energy is one of the few OEMs that also invest in building charging infrastructure. Ather Energy has signed an MoU with ESCOMs (Electric Supply Companies) of Karnataka to jointly establish fast charging for two-wheelers in 1,000 locations in the state. The collaboration aims at creating a favourable ecosystem for EVs in the state and increasing adoption. Ather has installed 58 charging grids in Karnataka. Currently, it has 310 charging stations across 30 cities across the country and plans to install 5,000 fast chargers in the next three years.

The Ather 450X is the best and most awarded electric scooter available in the country today. Ather Energy designs and builds high-performance and truly intelligent electric scooters that are on par, if not better than the 125cc petrol scooters in the market. The cost of ownership for an Ather Energy vehicle is lower than its petrol counterparts over the long term.

The ex-showroom price post the Fame II revision for the Ather 450X is Rs 1,50,657 and Rs 1,31,647 for the Ather 450 Plus in Karnataka. Considering the total cost of ownership of a comparable 125cc scooter, Ather  450X and Ather 450 Plus owners can now breakeven their investment in 18-24 months and will begin to save nearly Rs. 2 per km in the years after.
