Analog Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADI), a semiconductor manufacturer, announced the launch of its state-of-the-art facility spanning 38,951 sq. ft. in Singapore. Situated within the Kallang Industrial Park, this cutting-edge establishment will serve as a central hub for over 200 employees in key divisions, including research and development, test engineering, sales, and manufacturing. ADI’s presence in Singapore dates back to 1995. This strategic investment is in alignment with company’s global expansion plans.
The inauguration of the new facility marks a significant milestone in ADI’s global growth strategy, remarked Jerry Fan, President of Asia for ADI. He stated that enhancing the company’s capabilities in Singapore is vital for leveraging the country’s superb talent pool and advanced manufacturing capabilities to serve its regional and global customers’ needs. The company’s investment reinforces ADI’s presence within Singapore’s thriving semiconductor ecosystem, which is supported by the nation’s digital growth initiatives, he added.
The state-of-the-art facility includes a spacious and advanced laboratory designed to promote interaction between the research and development team and regional customers. This collaborative space aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and drive innovation for products targeting the Intelligent Edge. Additionally, the facility incorporates a dedicated area for test development, specifically tailored to accommodate multiple automated test equipment (ATE) stations. These on-site testing stations enable accelerated initial testing of ADI’s cutting-edge products, allowing the engineering team to address customers’ toughest challenges promptly.
Accessibility and sustainability were key considerations in selecting the location and designing the facility. The new office is situated near public transportation, and its direct access via expressways ensures ease of commute. The site was constructed using recyclable materials, while energy-efficient AC, lighting, and water systems are integrated into the advanced building automation system. The facility’s biophilic interior design incorporates low-carbon footprint materials. The office building is Green Mark Platinum-certified and expected to get LEED Gold certification by July 2023.
