TVS Motor Company has announced a contribution of Rs. 5 crs towards Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to aid the battle against COVID-19. The contribution was made through Srinivasan Services Trust (SST) – the CSR arm of TVS Motor Company. In addition to this, TVS Motor Company and Group Companies have already pledged Rs. 25 Crores to the PM’s Relief Fund (PM-CARES).
Here are some of the initiatives undertaken by Srinivasan Services Trust in Tamil Nadu:
Making and supplying 1 Million protective face masks for essential service providers within the state
Deploying vehicles and disinfectants to municipalities within the state
Employing factory kitchens at the manufacturing units in Hosur and Padi to make pre-packed cooked meals. These are supplied to all essential care workers in the vicinity, from police personnel, municipal staff to healthcare workers
SST also handed over a ‘Disinfectant Spray Cannon’ vehicle to the Corporation of Chennai to aid in disinfecting areas and localities through chemical spraying
