IMTMA celebrates 50 years of Imtex this year. In keeping with the milestone, the organisers have attempted some new ideas this year. For one, there are two additional pavilions focusing on the buzzwords in the market: Additive Manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
Speaking at the press conference, Jamshyd Godrej, chairman, exhibitions, IMTMA, said, “The idea is to offer the machine tools industry an opportunity to venture into new areas.”
P Ramadas, president, IMTMA, said that hopefully with the industry growing larger, it would enable the machine tool industry to offer advanced solutions and venture into new horizons.
The organisers are also concerned about the environmental benefits that need to be offered. Perhaps, is for this reason that they would like the industry to focus on electric vehicles and its manufacturing.
V Anbu, director general & CEO, INTMA, said that skill development has also been an integral part of the committee’s agenda.
With more than 1,000 exhibitors from across the globe, Imtex should work wonders for the machine tool industry.
