Maheshwari Logistics Ltd has received the consent to establish plastic boiler from Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) at the manufacturing unit in Valsad.
The company informed that it has finalised the order of purchase for setting up the plastic boiler at manufacturing plant. Boiler will be in operation within a year by March 2022. This boiler will help the company to reduce cost of production as well as facilitate in disposal of hazardous plastic waste which is an environment issue.
“We are in talks with a leading biotech company for improvement of water quality at our plant which will result into quality improvements,” the company said.
Maheshwari Logistics is among the largest organized logistics service provider for cement manufacturers in Gujarat and Rajasthan catering to almost all large cement manufacturers in these states including Ultratech Cement, Ambuja Cement and JK Cement among others.
The company has a large fleet of owned vehicles (100+), along with association of 5000+ vehicles with 3rd party vendors and fleet owners
It has diversified into kraft paper manufacturing with 100% recycling of waste paper and has own centres for waste paper collection. Plastic ban would benefit kraft paper manufacturers the most as an alternate for packaging.
