Salasar Techno bags new order worth Rs238.65 crore from PGCIL

Salasar Techno Engineering Limited, one of India’s leading multi-conglomerate in the engineering and infrastructure industry, has recently been awarded a new project from the Power Grid Corporation of India. The newly bagged project worth Rs238.65 crore includes the construction of a 201 Km transmission line network and four new power substations in the North-Eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh.

The transmission line network will be of 132KV type and the substations will be of the extra high voltage capacity. As per the project, Salasar will also be responsible for supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of transmission towers and substations.

We look forward to seamless completion of the project and working on similar opportunities in the future.”

PGCIL floated the tender for the project a few months ago and Salasar participated with offerings at competitive prices. The execution of the project will start by next month and is estimated to be completed by 24 months.

Notably, Salasar has successfully executed similar projects for UPPCL, HVPNL (Haryana), PTCUL (UK), HPPTCL (HP ) and other government entities in the past few years. Additionally, the company is also executing a similar project in the Assam region to support the nation’s vision on developing North-Eastern states.

PGCIL is India’s largest Electric Power Transmission Utility (Public) and is engaged mainly in the transmission of bulk power across different states of India.
