AkzoNobel’s new stone effect powder coating collection

The Interpon D2525 Stone Effect powder coating has been launched for the Indian market.

AkzoNobel has launched a super durable Interpon D powder coating for architects and designers for the Indian market that can give aluminium surfaces the beautiful natural look and texture of stone without any of the inconvenience or cost associated with using the actual material. The super durability of an Interpon D2525 Stone Effect powder coating protects surfaces over the long term, with a warranty of up to 25-years when the powder is applied by an Interpon D approved applicator, helping to ensure projects and reputations  stand the test of time.

Being a powder coating, the super durable Interpon D2525 Stone Effect is also the sustainable option. For example, coaters can use virtually all of the product as any overspray can be collected and reused which means no unnecessary waste. It is also free of any Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) which are harmful to the environment.

Şirvan Canıtez, Commercial Director South Asia, AkzoNobel Powder Coatings, is excited to bring the Stone Effect range to a new audience. According to her, the Indian market has been demanding an alternative to stone that gives all of the natural beauty and aesthetic of the real thing, but with none of the downsides. AkzoNobel also has the advantage of local production, which shortens the supply chain and enables customers to access the highest quality bonded products more quickly.

Interpon D2525 Stone Effect is backed by an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) which means the raw materials, manufacture and transportation associated with creating the product have been assessed by an independent third-party for transparent sustainability credentials.
