Speaking at IMTEX Forming 2020, Rakesh Agarwal, Managing Director, Laser Technologies said, “The market for forming technologies is growing well. With emergence of electric vehicles, new rules & regulations being implemented in the automotive industry, forming technologies are poised to grow.”
When asked about the economic slowdown, he said, “It is nothing but a temporary phase. Also, it acts as breather to be future ready.”
Speaking about the emergence of electric vehicles, he said, “With the entry of electric vehicles, manufacturing is changing. There is a lot of scope for battery manufacturing. Battery welding segment looks bright. Our technology is being deployed in this area by lot of companies. I foresee this trend continuing. Railways is yet another segment, which is doing extremely good in the country.”
Highlighting the new launches from Laser Technologies, Agarwal explained, “We have launched a 6kW fiber laser cutting machine. This machine is made for the customers who are seeking precision oriented solutions for mass production. Additionally, we also introduced a handheld welding machine. It is targeted mainly at the automotive professionals and is made for all types of welding. We have already supplied these machines to some companies and have received good response towards it.
