The Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) announced the completion of its annual executive council (EC) elections on 5th April 2023, which saw a new team of industry leaders and experienced individuals being elected to lead the organisation to greater heights and become the biggest ESDM platform. The new council will be responsible for setting the direction of the organisation, developing strategic initiatives, and driving growth across the electronics and semiconductor industry in India.
At the helm of the new leadership at IESA is Sanjay Gupta, President & CEO of Spark Minda, who has been appointed as the chairperson for 2023-24. The members newly elected to the EC are:
1) Anku Jain- MediaTek
2) Hitesh Garg- NXP
3) V Veerappan- Tessolve
4) Sudhir Naik- EInfoChips
5) Ashok Mishra- Reliance Jio
6) Manoj Kumar -ST Micro
Sanjay Gupta is deeply honoured to become the Chairman of IESA. He further expresses that this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of this sunrise sector in India and accelerate the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. IESA will continue to drive strategic partnerships between industry, academia, and government to unlock the full potential of this sector along with supporting start-ups and emerging players in the industry more so in electronics manufacturing, thereby fuelling innovation and entrepreneurship. IESA looks forward to collaborating with government, industry leaders and stakeholders to create a positive impact in the Indian semiconductor industry.
Krishna Moorthy K, President and CEO, IESA, is anticipating working closely with the newly elected EC and Sanjay to foster collaboration across the industry. As per him, together, they will continue to make significant strides in advancing the industry and supporting its members.
V Veerappan, Co-founder & President of Tessolve, will be taking the office of the Vice Chairman, and Sudhir Naik, Founder & Advisor of EInfoChips Ahmedabad, will assume the duties of the Treasurer.
