Phillips Machine Tools, a 100% owned subsidiary of Phillips Corporation, USA, recently collaborated with Unbound Futures Foundation (an NGO working for community building and development) to provide essential covid care kits in the rural areas of West Bengal, Jharkhand and Rajasthan. These kits were used by the people in home isolation.
The joint collaborations successfully executed two projects which eventually contributed to providing Covid Care. “We decided to collaborate with Unbound Futures Foundation because we felt that they were really rooted and working on the ground.
Their initiatives resonated with us and we felt that with their efforts we would be able to fulfil our pursuit of making meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by COVID” said Shubhra Miranda, Director at Phillips Machine Tools.
Some of the major activities of this initiative included a vast distribution of Covid Care kits. These kits consisted of essential equipment such as lN-95 mask, sanitizer, clinical digital thermometer as well as basic medicines provided to1000 individuals. Other campaigns included distribution of PPE kits and oxymeters to 20 village clinics.
These campaigns were held under the supervision of the Unbound Futures Foundation. Through CovidResources.in, Phillips has extended help to a Covid Facility run by the Indian Air Force in Delhi.
