Standing in for Zimmer at the exhibition booth was Hrishikesh Kulkarni, CEO, Zimmer Automation Pvt Ltd., elucidating on the innovative products from Zimmer’s know-how factory and sharing ideas on technology and solutions.
“We have innovative solutions that make your machine safer and much more efficient,” said Kulkarni drawing an eager audience. His presentation was about the interesting products from linear technology, where he talked about the clamping technology that enhanced safety and efficiency in machining.
He pitched for a number of innovative solutions from the handling technology, wherein he did not just showcase the components but also at the same time shared ideas on system engineering and explained how system solutions could be built. From the displays and literature at the booth, one could get a sense of the company’s rich history in handling technology, which earned it a Handling Award in 2015 for launching grippers for human-robot collaboration (IHC).
What was gaining the most traction was Match, a collaborative gripping solution which was a very novel end-of-arm tool solution. According to Kulkarni, this solution was amenable for a lot of industry segments like the machine tool industry, electronic industry, pharma and other allied sectors.
Also displayed at his stall was a diverse range of product portfolio from damping technology, where he elaborated on the Powerstop industrial shock absorbers and Basicstop structural dampers.
Besides the industrial damping technology, clamping and braking elements, robotics, and grippers were the other topics at the booth. Zimmer offered an invitation from the Know-how Factory to be a part of the revolution in this age of digital transformation.
