ISH India to showcase high-end solutions for sanitation, plumbing, renewable energy and home automation

Bengaluru faces a humongous challenge: managing its gigantic load of solid waste. It generates around 3500-4000 tonnes of waste every day. It is not just a public health issue, but also turning out to be a serious law and order issue. Nobody wants this waste to be dumped in their backyard, thus resorting to violent methods to protest. Also, with India’s urban population growing at 3-3.5% annually, the waste generated by cities is expected to increase by 5% every year.

In a Swachch Bharat Survey (2017) carried out by the Quality Council of India, which deployed 421 assessors for on-the-spot assessment of 17,500 locations in 434 cities and towns, Bengaluru has been ranked far below at 210. Many tier-II and tier-III cities have surpassed the IT capital of India. Thus, Bengaluru is in urgent need of re-engineering of its sanitation systems and suitable waste management.

Time and again, the government and various organisations have reiterated the importance of good sanitation and effective use of renewable energy. Moreover, the concept of smart cities and tremendous growth in urbanisation has created a demand for comprehensive bathrooms & kitchens, proper plumbing, and modern home automation systems.

ISH India, powered by IPA, an international trade fair, scheduled from February 22-24, 2018, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru, caters to these major segments that contribute to the development of the country.

Over 50 companies from India and international contingents from China, France and Germany, will cover the sectors of sanitation, plumbing, kitchen & bathroom, renewable energy and home automation. ISH India, powered by IPA, is a part of Build Fair Alliance (BFA), a consortium of co-located leading exhibition organisers in this sector.
