Tyrolit India is the Indian subsidiary of Austria based Tyrolit Group, a leading supplier of innovative tooling solutions in grinding, cutting, drilling, honing, dressing and polishing.The company’s main business units include metal & precision, construction, stone – ceramics – glass and trade. Subrahmanya Kumar V, country sales manager, Tyrolit India, said, “We are bringing new solutions to India. We have launched many products in tooling category, primarily focused to enhance productivity at all levels for the customers. Our motto is to make customers produce their parts in lesser cycles and help them reduce capital costs. Thus, it is important to have a healthy relationship with the customers.”

One of the products launched by Tyrolit for the tooling industry is the flute grinding of cutting tools made of solid carbide. “With this product we can enhance the productivity by 25% and this is the best available tool in existence for this application and the grinding wheel is capable of high material removal rates,” Kumar explained. Commenting on IMTEX 2015 exhibition, he said, “IMTEX is a platform for us to showcase our new solutions to new and existing customers. Sometimes they may not be aware that we have so many products in our kitty. So this gives an overall perspective to customers about our product lines. It also enables us to do business in other areas with our customers. This is also a platform to express what our capabilities are, and it opens doors to meet prospective new clients and customers.” Kumar is quite optimistic about the current business scene in the industry. “We are seeing many good enquires from the customer and clients,” he said.

Speaking on Tyrolit’s future plans, Kumar explained, “In 2015, we are expecting the market to grow like everybody else. Our objective is to enhance our customer base and make them competitive in their field by offering the best solutions from Tyrolit.” The group has over 80,000 products, and boasts of employing more than 4,500 professionals worldwide. It also has 27 production facilities in 12 countries and five continents. Established in 1919, Tyrolit Group’s turnover in 2013 stood at Rs 562 million.
