Walter Tools India

Walter Tools India witnessed multitude of visitors at IMTEX 2015 and received numerous queries. “We had about 100 key business visitors every day.We expect this should bring buoyancy in the industry,” said Ravishankar S, MD, Walter Tools India. Pawel Duzniak, president, Walter Europe & India, says he doesn’t see new trends at the moment. “There is more requirement for high-tech solutions. I see more intense discussions for improvements in the manufacturing technology.” The company does not have a R&D unit in India. “We call it more as engineering operations,” Duzniak pointed.

He added, “Majority of our customers are global players and they expect us to provide them with the same state-of-the-art technology we provide in other markets. In India the manufacturing sector is getting similar to developed markets. It is the same in the automotive, power generation and general engineering.”

Though the company is not setting up any new operations in the next few years, it has already established a new stateof- the-art technology centre with the purpose to further the knowledge of employees and conduct trainings and trials for customised requirements. Going forward, it intends to help customers improve their knowledge and technology. “We transfer knowledge from other markets to Indian customers so that they can become better manufacturers of products with high quality. This will enable them to expand their business. We’ll also expand depending on the expectations coming out of the market,” he opined.

The five competence brands of Walter includes Walter Titex, Walter Prototyp, Walter Valenite and Walter Multiply, which are united under one company umbrella. With a product range of around 49,000 catalogue tools for milling, drilling, turning and threading, Walter provides complete service for the metalworking industry.
