Setco Spindles India, a 100% subsidiary of Setco, the US based world’s largest independent spindle manufacturer and repairer announced that it has launched a new service vertical for repair of milling heads in India. This will be the first such service available to customers in India from a non-OEM entity and is specially for users of milling heads where any service support has to be sought from locations outside India.
The milling head service is initially being offered to customers through Setco’s WISC (Western India Service Centre), Pune and in the near future will be expanded. The company has a fully climate controlled modern state of the art facility in Pune spread over 25,000 square feet for the manufacture and repair of spindles as well as repair of milling heads. A team of 60+ trained specialists is available to repair milling heads and spindles.
Milling heads are highly complex equipment used for high precision work, understanding this, the facility is well equipped with an array of specialist tools and equipment to ensure that all parameters of the milling heads are repaired to original OEM standards using genuine parts. The facility is equipped to handle repairs for all types of milling heads; manual, semi-automatic, automatic, single or multiple axis. The team regularly delivers to customers on accuracies up to 2 microns (equal to 0.0001mm) and offers the same high standard of repair Setco is renowned for globally with a peace of mind one year warranty on repairs.
Speaking on the launch of the new service vertical Rajesh Mandlik, CEO, Setco Spindles India said “It has a long-standing request from our customers who were sending their spindles to Setco for repairs and were facing challenges in repair requirements for their milling heads. Setco understands the importance of a timely and effective repair. We deliver quality of repairs and accuracies in India at par with OEM parameters without them needing to send the heads outside the country ensuring faster TAT and getting the production started”.
There is a keen interest and the company has commenced repairing the first set of milling heads, of brands like Mitsubishi, Soraluce, Ramboudi for leading customers from auto, railways, forging, Die & Mould from locations as geographically varied as Punjab and Maharashtra.
