CESL signs agreement with Common Service Centre SPV to build demand aggregation for EVs; design solar and battery energy storage solutions

Convergence Energy Services (CESL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services (EESL), has signed an agreement with CSC e Governance Services India Limited (CSC SPV) to create demand aggregation for electric mobility, solar, energy efficiency solutions and other initiatives of CESL.

The agreement was signed between Ms Mahua Acharya, MD & CEO, CESL and Dr. Dinesh Kumar Tyagi, MD CSC SPV in the presence of Saurabh Kumar, Executive Vice Chairperson (EVC), EESL Group among other dignitaries from EESL, CESL and CSC.

Under the agreement CESL and CSC will aggregate demand and carry out feasibility studies for projects in renewables (decentralized solar), energy efficiency (solar micro-grids, solar based agricultural pump-sets), e-mobility (EV charging stations, battery charging stations and battery swapping stations), Battery Energy Storage Systems, etc.

Acharya said, “Through this agreement, we will be able to expand our outreach across the country. Convergence, with its new and innovative business models, intends to maximise India’s efforts on climate action and accelerate the impact of our initiatives in greening India.”

Highlighting the importance of the agreement, Sanjay Kumar Rakesh, Chief Executive Officer, CSC, said, “It is an honour to partner with CESL to create demand aggregation for projects that will contribute to climate action. With CSC’s strength in implementing inclusive schemes on a large scale, this agreement will enable wide-scale deployment of renewables, electric mobility, and other energy efficiency solutions that are crucial for India’s energy transitions.”
