IMTEX 2017 – ACE MICROMATIC GROUP

Ace Micromatic had one of the most impressive stalls at this year’s edition of IMTEX. This is perhaps the group’s 15th IMTEX, and although the sentiment is always good, even during the worst of times, this time around, it has been significantly better than normal, said Ramesh, pointing also to the huge turnout.
When asked if the increasing foot fall has been translating into business for them, Ramesh was quick to state, “At our booth, we saw about 360 meaningful enquires in just one day.” Before rushing to meet a high-profile customer, he laid out the company’s plan for the near future. Going forward, Ace Micromatic is trying to focus on three things. The first of these is automation, while the second is intelligence as a part of IoT. The third aspect is education and training, in order to make moving people from a particular type of solution to the next level of solutions, smooth.
“Customers are not yet willing to open their purses, but they are definitely willing to sit, listen, and understand. It’s going to take a while, but the seriousness has been felt. The IoT change is a big one and there are several parts to it. We have worked on some parts and we see that even SMEs are starting to pay notice, with some now willing to spend money on it too,” confessed Ramesh.
Ace Micromatic launched two products – AMS HMC-400XL, a high-precision machining centre, and Micromatic Grinding IG-150, a double-headed spindle grinding machine, at IMTEX. These are integrated with the MachineConnect software, which can be accessed from remote locations. Ramesh added that the company is expecting to achieve 18-19% plus in growth this year.
