The Executive Committee of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the apex body of the Indian automotive industry, has elected Kenichi Ayukawa as president. Ayukawa is the MD & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India since 2013.
Ayukawa, who was the VP of SIAM succeeds Rajan Wadhera, senior advisor, Mahindra & Mahindra.
The election for new office bearers was conducted during the Executive Committee Meeting, which was held after SIAM’s Annual General Meeting. The members of SIAM also elected Vipin Sondhi, MD & CEO, Ashok Leyland, as the VP of SIAM.
Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) will continue as treasurer of SIAM.
