thyssenkrupp has opened a new technology centre in Hinjawadi, Pune, to drive technological innovation and establish India as a knowledge hub for digital excellence. The facility will focus on building capacities in data science, application software, embedded systems, and cloud computing. It will act as an innovation hub and deliver smart solutions for thyssenkrupp’s businesses, including steel, industrial components and systems, automotive components, plant engineering, and materials services.

Cetin Nazikkol, CEO, thyssenkrupp Asia Pacific Africa, emphasised the significance of India in the company’s digitalization and innovation initiatives. He acknowledged the important role that Pune’s highly skilled talent pool and thriving IT ecosystem will play in accelerating thyssenkrupp’s global digital transformation efforts.
