HOP Electric upgrades OXO electric bikes with VCU firmware over-the-air update

The electric bikes will now come with new and better algorithms based on real-time battery health and usage.

HOP Electric, an electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced the first of many upgrades to its OXO electric bikes with VCU firmware over-the-air update (FOTA) Ver 4.90. The update improves acceleration in ECO mode, connectivity, and battery range prediction. 

The OXO bikes combine sustainability, performance, and affordability in a sleek design, and the update allows for 2X better ECO mode acceleration, improved connectivity, and accurate battery range display.

According to Nikhil Bhatia, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, HOP Electric Mobility, electric vehicles are gaining popularity in the Indian market due to customers’ inclination towards sustainable and affordable mobility solutions. The company’s backend team is continuously monitoring the functioning of HOP OXO and customers’ demand. Based on the collected data, the company has decided to upgrade the OXO bikes with VCU firmware over-the-air (FOTA) Ver 4.90. This upgrade is expected to provide better connectivity and battery range prediction to existing customers.
