As G20 presidency, India has huge potential to collectively address the pressing challenges of climate change and cultivate global partnerships to accelerate the development and implementation of clean energy technologies. In its endeavour to support India’s net zero goal and clean energy transition, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) is all set to introduce the 6th edition of India Energy Storage Week (IESW). IESW 2023 will be a truly global event with participation from more than 25 countries including UK, USA, UAE, Australia, China, Germany, Singapore, France, Italy, Sri Lanka during the proud year when India is hosting the G20 summit.
With an impressive line-up of over 500 national and international organisations, 60+ CXOs from the e-mobility and green hydrogen ecosystem, 100+ start-ups, 50+ women energy leaders, 8+ ministries, IESW 2023 is going to be the biggest stage for e-mobility and clean energy. This five day power-packed conference and exhibition is scheduled from 1st to 5th May 2023 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
As per Dr. Rahul Walawalkar, Founder and President, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), the world’s transition to sustainable energy is imperative for the planet’s survival, and India is at the forefront of this change. If India wants to achieve its net zero goal by 2070, energy storage technologies will have to play a crucial role. Over the past years, there has been notable advancement in manufacturing policies in India, with nearly 30 companies in the process of establishing manufacturing facilities for various components related to energy storage. The India Energy Storage Week 2023 presents an excellent opportunity for stakeholders to come together and explore the latest technologies and best practices in the energy storage, e-mobility, and green hydrogen space.
IESW has received tremendous response from various ministries and government departments and is expecting secretaries, general secretaries, and representatives from over eight ministries, including Department of Heavy Industries, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Electronic, Department of Electronic Science and Technology, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate change to grace the occasion with their presence.
As per Debi Prasad Dash, Executive Director, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), IESA’s IESW 2023 will bring meaningful outcome through deliberations and discussions among industry participants, innovators and policy makers to create energy storage, electric mobility and green hydrogen roadmaps for India. IESW 2023 will also witness the signing of a substantial number of MoUs to promote technology transfer, bilateral partnerships, new technology development, collaboration and cooperation between India and various global energy leaders.
As per Ashok Thakur, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Customised Energy Solutions (CES), India has a very vibrant start-up domain due to the strong support from the government. IESA is focused on bringing all these players on a single platform so that they can connect with the industry leaders. IESW 2023 is a unique opportunity to advance India’s position as a global hub for energy storage and to support the country’s ambitious clean energy transmission goals.
IESW 2023 will feature 30 thematic conference sessions, six technical forums and workshops, five roundtables, reverse buyer-sellers forum, 3 technical and cultural tours, and much more. With over 150+ partners and exhibitors, 1000+ delegates, and 10,000+ visitors, India’s clean energy transformation drive is set to be bigger and better than ever before. Driving EV adoption, the platform will also showcase some of the latest products and technologies from different parts of the globe.
From this year, IESA Industry Excellence Awards is also going to recognise the exemplary work done in the area of green hydrogen ecosystem.
