India’s first green hydrogen microgrid project by Uneecops Technologies

Delhi-based green hydrogen and solar developer company, Uneecops Technologies Ltd will set up the first green hydrogen microgrid project in Leh Region. Uneecops Technologies Ltd will help in the engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) for setting up a green hydrogen-based fuel cell microgrid 25kWe for one of the major hydro-power company’s guest houses at Power Station, Alchi, Leh. 

This project will be developed at a very high altitude of 3200 feet, making it the world’s first project of its kind. The company will provide three years of operations and maintenance service that will ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the microgrid, making it a sustainable and cost-effective solution for the major hydro-power company’s guest house.

The project aims to demonstrate the viability of green hydrogen-based fuel cells as a reliable source of energy for remote and off-grid locations. The major hydro-power company’s guest house at Power Station, Alchi, Leh is an ideal location for this pilot project as it is situated in one of the most challenging terrains in India, where the availability of reliable power supply is a significant challenge. The project will be developed using the latest technology and equipment to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and reliability.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023 and will provide a reliable source of power to the major hydro-power company’s guest house at Power Station, Alchi, Leh, for many years to come.
