Jakson Green has been awarded a project to construct a methanol synthesis plant at the NTPC’s Vindhyachal Thermal Power Plant in Madhya Pradesh. The project, to be carried out in partnership with NTPC and a Japanese technology provider, will create the world’s first methanol production plant with a capacity of 10 tonnes-per-day at the VTPP site.
Jakson Green will oversee the entire project on a turnkey basis, providing design, engineering, procurement, and construction services. The move will boost India’s ambition to become a methanol economy, reducing its reliance on crude oil imports and mitigating pollution.
